A House In Greenbelt With A Garden
The landowners owned a house in the Essex greenbelt. It had a large garden but the accommodation itself was unsuitable for the next season in their lives and it lacked the aspiration in design and performance that they desired. The brief was to deliver a forever home in the greenbelt that could be built for less than the value of the existing house.

What we did
We secured Planning Permission from Brentwood Borough Council for the erection of a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom detached villa in the land adjoining the landowner’s home in the greenbelt.
We developed the working drawings, managed a competitive tender of main contractors and administered the building contract to completion.

Transformative Outcome
The landowners were able to sell the former home (with mortgage paid outright), now next door to the new house. The value of the sale exceeded the development cost of the new home by a significant margin. Not only does this mean that there was NO OVERALL COST in building the new house, but it gave the landowners a forever home as well as a significant sum to be invested into their pension.
